Table! every Friday (during the regular school year) at
4 PM at Bogens!!!
- Upcoming events:
- January 18th (Friday): First Classics Table. 4:00 PM. Traditional gathering of all students and faculty in Classics courses. No real agenda, just a weekly social time to see what is coming up and get to know each other. Come for 10 minutes or an hour, whatever you have time for, and have a drink and check in. In English.
- March 14-15 (Friday-Saturday ): Odyssey Marathon : in the Newman Dorm lounge. 7:00 PM start. We'll read all of the Odyssey out loud in English. Come for a bit; come for it all.
- March 27 (Thursday): Lecture: "Touching Stone and Seeing god: Cult
Images in Ancient Etruria". Katie Rask (VT '02, The Ohio State University) !! 5:30 PM McBryde 129. There will also be an 'emergency classics table' before hand at Bogens at 4 PM.
- March 28-30 (Friday to Sunday): Eta Sigma Phi National Convention!! We will go to the University of Massachusetts in Amhert for the weekend. More information to come .
- March 31 (Monday): Eta Sigma Phi Initiation!! 7 PM Torgersen Museum?!
- May 1st (Thursday, Reading Day): Bacchanalia. End of the year celebration at the Bugh home. 4:00-6:00 PM. Bring along some snack to share, if you can. Come for a last gasp before finals start and wish our spring Classics graduates well. Contact Terry Papillon for directions or rides.
