August 22--Classes start.

August 26--First Classics Table of the semester. All interested in the ancient world are invited, students and faculty, majors and non-majors alike. We meet at PK's on Main St to hang around, chat, talk classics and create a vibrant and tight Classics community. We especially welcome our new freshmen. Sept. --CAV meeting in Charlottesville.

Nov.--Moive Marathon, Honors Residential Community.

Dec. 8--Saturnalia, 2:30-4:30. Becker home. Postponed to Dec. 10.

 

Our major events of the year include the Saturnalia party in December, Bacchanalia in May, the annual Virginia Hummel Lecture, trips to talks and Classics events, and weekly gatherings (Classics Table), Fridays at 4 pm.
