    RESEARCH INTERESTS

    Renaissance ethics, gender, theories of the emotions, legal discourse and the academy. Rhetoric and hermeneutics in the Essais of Michel de Montaigne: I have just completed a book entitled The Dance of Ethics in Montaigne's Essais.

    CURRENT SCHOLARLY PROJECT

    A book-length study of humanist debates centering on the emotions in the Palace Academy of Henry III in late 16th century France.
