Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University offers exceptional opportunities for students in the liberal arts, business and engineering to study abroad. Our interactive map below shows many of the places you can study in France and Switzerland. For those interested in a summer abroad. We offer a five-week program each May and June in Paris. Most VPI&SU students who prefer to study for a semester or a year at a number of French or Swiss universities choose the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) without paying substantially more than what they would pay at VPI&SU.

In business, we have established a unique set of exchanges program at the Institut National des Télécommunications (INT), near Paris for summer, semester, year-long and two-year stays for students with advanced skills in French. Possibilities for students to study at the INT exist now. See our web site or contact Sharon Johnson for details.

Students may study at any of the ISEP-associated schools. Based on the past experiences of our students, many have preferred Caen, Rennes, Angers and Nantes. It is possible to study at Caen either through ISEP or directly through our bi-lateral exchange with this university.
