French 2106: Intermediate French Mizutani-Rousseau
Meets 9:05-9:55 and 10:10-11:00 MWF
French 2164: Intermediate Business French McCullough
This course emphasizes all four language skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening)
by focusing on various facets of the world of business and technology. It also develops students'
understanding of French institutions and business practices. PRE: 2105. Meets 1:25-2:15 MWF.
FR/Hum 2714: Introduction to French Culture and Civilization. Brown
French culture and civilization from the Middles Ages to the present. In English.
This course does not count toward the French Major or Minor. It does count for our French for
Business Concentration and French for Business Minor. Meets 2:00-3:15 TR
French 3106: Grammar, Composition, and Conversation McCullough, Noirot-Maguire
Practice in communication skills in French to improve students'
ability to read, write, speak and understand the French language. In addition, students
will learn more about French and Francophone cultures through spoken, written and visual media. PRE: FR 2106 or 2164.

French 3126: Oral Proficiency Shryock
This course will help students speak
French better using appropriate idiomatic expressions and correct grammar.
PRE: FR 3105, 3106 and 3125, or admission by oral interview. Meets 12:20-1:10 MWF.
French 3206: French Culture and Civilization Teulon
A study of French culture and civilization from the French Revolution to the present. PRE:
FR 3106. Meets 9:05-9:55 and 10:10-11:00 MWF.
French 3304: Introduction to French Literature Farquhar
Through studies of various literary genres, students will be introduced to
literary terms, analytical techniques, and reading strategies.
PRE: FR 2106 or 2164. FR 3105 and 3106 strongly recommended. Can be taken with 3106.

French 3306: Survey of French Literature Johnson
Readings in French literature from the
18th century to the present to acquaint students with literary techniques and contexts.
PRE: FR 3105-06 and FR 3304. Meets 2:00-3:15 TR
