Study Abroad in Ecuador

Comments and pictures

"My experiences in Ecuador were invaluable, my time there allowed me to see the wonders of one of S. America's smallest and yet most diverse countries. The people, places, and experiences during my enrollment at USFQ bettered me as a student as well as a person." Micah J. Briehl

Students take field trips that let them get up close and personal to several active and dormant volcanoes near Quito, as a part of a Volcanology class

"I fell in love with a country that is so enriched with life. I never felt like a tourist or a foreigner because my family treated me like a son. In Quito we were at the epicenter of any possible adventure we could have conjured up. One day we were in the rainforest, the next day we could be on a volcano, the next at one of the worlds top surfing spots, and the next hiking along an ancient Incan trail. I saw things that could only be rivaled by my imagination. Ecuador is everything you need it to be." Mac Stone

"Ecuador's a multi-colored mosaic of land and culture, and I would go back if only to gorge myself on ridiculous fresh fruit for ten minutes while speeding down tropical roads on the top of a bus. Every moment was my textbook, and I never wanted to put it down." Leah Finity
